The OTHM Level 5 Diploma in Business Management gives you a strong foundation for a career in business across different industries. The course is designed to make you ‘business ready’ a confident, independent thinker with solid knowledge of business and management, and the ability to adapt to change.
You will study important areas such as human resources, marketing, management accounting, business law, and business strategy. You will also learn how to put this knowledge into practice by exploring how to start a business and create a realistic business plan.
This qualification is ideal if you are starting, or planning to start, a career in business within either the private or public sector. On completion, you will also have the chance to progress to higher studies or move directly into employment.
Entry Requirements
These qualifications are intended for learners aged 18 and above.
To be eligible, learners should have at least one of the following:
- A relevant Level 4 Diploma or an equivalent qualification
- GCE Advanced Level passes in 3 subjects or an equivalent qualification
- Be a mature learner (over 21) with relevant management experience, which must be confirmed with the training centre before registering
- English requirements: Learners from countries where English is not the main language must provide proof of their English language ability
Mandatory Units
The OTHM Level 5 Diploma in Business Management is made up of 6 mandatory units, giving a total of 120 credits. The full qualification requires 1200 hours of Total Qualification Time (TQT), including 600 Guided Learning Hours (GLH).
